Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! A little bit of drama for you today!

I started by faking sleep by applying The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I also want my lashes to keep growing, so I ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line.

Because I have a little redness in my face today, I prepped my face for makeup by patting on some e.l.f. Cosmetics Tone Adjusting Face Primer in Neutralizing Green. I also went ahead and hydrated my lips with Lip Smart Powerful Hydration for Dry Lips.

To even out my skin tone, I applied NYX Professional Makeup Total Control Drop Foundation in Natural, blending the crap out of it with a Japonesque Multitasker Brush. I also took the time to contour my nose using a NYX Professional Makeup Micro-Contour Duo Pencil in Light, just letting the warmth of my fingertips blend it out. I also cream highlighted and contoured my face with NYX Professional Makeup Wonder Stick Highlight and Contour Stick in Medium/Tan, blending both the highlight shade and the contour shade with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

To get a bit of color on my cheeks, I applied some Club Clio Peripera Ah! Much Real My Cushion Blusher in Pleased Pink. I also added some glow to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose with The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew Highlighting Cream.

To set all that cream product, I grabbed a Vera Mona Cake and Bake Makeup Sponge and packed some RCMA No-Color Powder on to the areas I earlier cream highlighted. After a few minutes, I used a Morphe M500 Brush to sweep away the excess. I then used both a Morphe G18 Brush and a Morphe M530 Brush to deepens the areas I cream contoured earlier with some Sephora Matte Perfection Powder Foundation in Deep Mocha.

Then I added a bit more cheek color by using a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush to sweep on some Frankie Rose Cosmetics Blush in Romantica. And of course (cue eye roll) I added more glow by taking a Sigma E40 Brush and adding some Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Conceited to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

To fill in and shape my brows today I used a Sigma E65 Brush and some NYX Professional Makeup Eyebrow Cake Powder in Dark Brown. I then set them with some Model in a Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer. To clean up the edges, I used a Younique Cream Shadow Brush and some Jouer Cosmetics Perfector in Naturel.

And now for the eyes! I used a Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush to sweep some Jouer Cosmetics Powder Eyeshadow in Caviar into the crease of my eyes. I then used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush to apply some NYX Professional Makeup Glitter Primer onto my eyelids. Directly on top of that, I used a Sigma E55 Brush to pack some NYX Professional Makeup Pigment in Metallic Velvet on.

And of course, I had to add a little sparkle. After dampening a Sigma E75 Brush with some Mehron Mixing Liquid, I used it to apply some LA Splash Cosmetics Crystallized Glitter in Thistle to my lower lash line.

After a couple coats of Velvet 59 My Fair Lashes Mascara, I decided I needed a little drama. I applied a pair of the second pair of lashes from the Violet Voss Eye Believe in Unicorns Lash Set, using Duo Eyelash Adhesive to attach them. Then, to complete the look, I swept on some Coloured Raine Liquid Lipstick in Raine Fever.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Time to go through some of the things I’ve used up! I’ll also let you know whether I’d buy again, or leave it on the shelf!

DKNY Be Delicious Skin Hydrating Eau de Toilette Spray: I’m a little confused on how this works. Can’t say I noticed any hydrating effects, but it smells good.

Ardell Wispies: absolutely will buy again. A classic go to.

Exuviance Performance Peel AP25: just okay. I don’t know. Small difference, but not huge. However, I do have to say I didn’t have any reactions or over drying which can happen with this type of peel.

Garnier Skin Active Ultra Clean 3-in-1 with Charcoal: nice. Gentle enough for daily use. I like to try out new skincare constantly, though.

Smack Beauty Brighten Up! Vitamin C Anti-Aging Serum with Hyaluronic Acid: really nice. I love the texture of the serums they make.

Garnier Skin Active Soothing 3-in-1 Moisturizer Day/Night Mask: ehhhhh. Just okay. Nothing special.

5 Second Professional Nail Glue: really great for nail emergencies. And the tip doesn’t ever seem to be glued shut or dried out!

Grande Mascara Lash Boosting Formula: one of my all time favs!

L’Oréal Infallible Pro Matte 24HR Demi Matte Finish Foundation: beautiful. Will definitely be grabbing more.

AOA Studio Lashes in Natalia: super cute! And super cheap! Which is basically an almost impossible combination!

Ole Henriksen Transform Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer: very nice. Hydrating without feeling heavy or greasy.

Benefit Posie Balm: hmmm. Nice formula, but maybe not the color for me.

KISS Professional Acrylic Liquid: as I was learning this on my own, this came in handy, although I have been trying a few different brands, I don’t see much difference in them.

Royal Apothic Cuppa Cuppa Exfoliating Firming Tea Mask: very nice! Really enjoyed this one!

Cinema Secrets Sugar Lip Scrub: the convenience of this is what excited me! Lived up to the hype.

Moroccan Oil Light Treatment: you probably already know I’m a huge fan of this stuff!

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! A little sparky and a little darkness for you today!

I started (duh! Of course!) by waking up my under eye area with The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I also was hoping my lashes would keep growing, and to keep that hope alive, I ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line.

I fought the dreaded oil slick look by patting on some NYX Professional Makeup Shine Killer. I also hydrated my lips with Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion for Lips, since I’d be adding a matte lipstick later, and they can both be drying and look like total crap on dry lips.

Because I’m me, I had some redness today. I applied some LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Green Corrector only to those areas that were red, and blended it out with a dampened Beauty Blender. Then, to even out my skin tone, I used a Japonesque Multitasker Brush to apply some Mally Beauty Ultimate Performance Professional Foundation in Light.

To create (and fake) some definition in my face, I used a Younique Cream Shadow Brush to apply some Jouer Cosmetics Perfector in Chestnut around the edges of my face, under my jawline, under my cheekbones and down the sides of the bridge of my nose. I then used a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend until my arm ached.

Taking some Palladio Under Eyes Disguise Full Coverage Concealer in Vanilla Latte, I cream highlighted the center of my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, and under my eyes. This time I used a Morphe G37 Brush to blend it out.

Using my finger, I added some color to my cheeks with Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint in Very Charming. I also added a bit of glow (because you know I love it!) to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose with NYX Professional Makeup Strobe of Genius Holographic Stick in Mermaid Armor.

To set those cream highlighted areas, I grabbed a Vera Mona Cake and Bake Makeup Sponge, and packed on some RCMA No-Color Powder. After waiting a few minutes, I used a Morphe M500 Brush to sweep away the excess.

On the areas I cream contoured, I used both a Morphe G18 Brush and a Morphe M530 Brush to deepen it even more with Palladio Matte Bronzer in Teeny Bikini.

To add a bit more cheek color, I grabbed a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush, and used it to swirl some Cargo Cosmetics Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos onto my cheeks. I also decided I didn’t have quite enough glow (you know me,what can I say?), so I used my fingertips to add some Unicorn Snot Glitter Gel in Pink to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used an LA Girl Cosmetics 207 Brush and some Inglot AMC Brow Liner Gel in 20. I then sealed that in by combing through some Model in a Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer. Then, I cleaned up the edges with a Morphe M508 Brush and some Dermacol Make-Up Cover Foundation in 209.

And now for the eyes. I started them by using a Morphe E22 Brush to create a base in my crease that would be easy to blend on using NYX Professional Makeup Nude Matte Shadow in Leather and Lace. I then took a Real Techniques Brow Brush and ran some Kiko Cosmetics Infinity High Pigmented Eyeshadow in 212 along my lower lash line. I also added some into my crease, before taking that same Morphe E22 Brush from before and blending it out.

Using a Morphe E32 Brush, I patted some NYX Professional Makeup Glitter Glue onto my eyelids. Directly on top of that, I used a Morphe E14 Brush to pat some Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadow in 86.

After adding a couple coats of Lancôme min Sieur Big Mascara, I decided to add a little flair with a pair of Kara Eyelashes in 523, using Duo Eyelash Adhesive to attach them.

To complete the look, I swept some Violet Voss Liquid Lipstick in Flirt on my lips and called it a day!

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! I simple eye with a pop of a bright lip color today.

I started (duh, as usual!) by waking up my under eye area with The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I also applied some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum to my upper lash line, hoping they’d grow.

To prep my face for makeup, I patted on some Glamazon Beauty Mystical Veil Face Primer. I also put in some Blossom Scented Lip Gloss in Mint.

To even out my complexion, I applied some NYX Professional Makeup Total Control Drop Foundation in Vanilla, blending the crap out of it with a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I also hid my under eye circles by applying some LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Light Yellow Corrector, this time using a dampened Mini Beauty Blender to blend.

For some definition in my face, I used a NYX Professional Makeup Wonder Stick Highlight and Contour Stick in Universal. To blend the contour color, I used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Contouring Brush, and to blend the highlight color, I used a Real Techniques Essential Foundation Brush.

For a healthy flush on my cheeks, I used my fingers to apply a small amount of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Creme Colour Concentrate in Grandma. I also used my fingers to add some glow to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose with Inika Light Reflect Highlighting Creme.

Using a Morphe E41 Brush, I set all that cream product with some Jouer Cosmetics Mineral Powder in Perle Naturel. I also went over the areas I earlier cream contoured with both a Morphe Y22 Brush and a Morphe E56 Brush, and a little of the darker shades from my Frankie Rose Cosmetics Pro Contour Palette.

For a little bit more color on my cheeks, I used a Sigma F15 Brush to lightly sweep on some Physicians Formula Multi-Colored Blush I’m Blushing Berry. I then used my fingers to add some glitter (because why not?) to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose with Lavender Stardust Aloe Vera Glitter Gel in Heaven.

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used a Morphe M413 Brush and some Inglot AMC Brow Liner Gel in 17. I then used a Morphe M508 Brush to clean up the edges with Dermablend Professional Cover Creme in Natural Beige.

And now for the eyes!

I started by using a Morphe R39 Brush to sweep some NYX Professional Makeup Nude Matte Shadow in Birthday Suit into my crease.

Next, after dampening a Sigma E55 Brush with Mehron Mixing Liquid, I used it to pack some e.l.f. Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in Sassy onto my eyelids. I then used that same blending brush from before to get rid of the harsh line.

I also used some Mehron Mixing Liquid to dampen a Japonesque Angled Brow Brush. I then used that to do a bit of an inner corner highlight with Glamour Doll Eyes Pigment in Violet Winds.

After a couple coats of Lancôme Mon Sieur Big Mascara, I decided I wanted lashes but nothing to crazy. Just a little bit of something. So I chose Red Cherry Eyelashes in Harley, attaching them using Duo Brush On Adhesive with Vitamins.

I completed the look with a pop of color on my lips, swiping on some LA Splash Cosmetics Lip Couture Waterproof Liquid Lipstick in Hidden Desires.

And that’s all y’all! See you soon!
