Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! Bringing you a warm, simple look today.

I started by fighting the lack of sleep by applying The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG to my under eye area. I also ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line, so hopefully they’ll continue to be healthy.

To prep my face for makeup, I sprayed some Skindinavia Makeup Primer Spray all over. I also hydrated my lips with Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper.

Using a Real Techniques Essential Foundation Brush, I applied a mixture of the orange and peach colors from my Ben Nye Media Pro Corrector Wheel under my eyes to hide my dark circles. I then evened out my skin tone by applying L’Oréal Infallible Pro Matte 24HR Foundation in Natural Buff, blending it out until my arm hurt with a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

Now it’s time to get some definition into my face. I used NYX Professional Makeup Sculpt and Highlight Face Duo in Taupe/Ivory to cream highlight and contour. I used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Contouring Brush to blend the taupe color and a Japonesque Fluff Concealer Brush to blend to ivory color.

For a little flush to my cheeks, I used my fingers to add some Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint in Very Charming to the apples of my cheeks, just letting the warmth of my fingers doing the blending. I also added some glow to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose by using my fingertips to tap some Manna Kadar Sheer Glo Shimmer Lotion On them.

To set all that cream product, I grabbed a Morphe E41 Brush, and used it to sweep some Jouer Cosmetics Mineral Powder in Perle Naturel all over my face. I also used both a Morphe Y22 Brush and a Morphe E56 Brush to go over the areas I earlier cream contoured to give them more depth with Palladio Matte Bronzer in Teeny Bikini.

For some more cheek color, I used a Sigma F15 Brush to sweep some Palladio Matte Blush in Velvetine along my cheeks. I also added some more glow (duh!) using a Morphe M501 Brush and some LA Girl Cosmetics Strobe Lite Strobing Powder in 110 Watt.

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used a Morphe M413 Brush and some Inglot AMC Brow Liner Gel in 20, keeping it darker at the tail and lighter at the front. I then used a Morphe M508 Brush to clean up the edges with some Dermacol Make-Up Cover Foundation in 209.

And now for the eyes! I started with a Morphe R39 Brush, using it to sweep some Kiko Cosmetics Infinity High Pigmented Eyeshadow in 234 into the creases of my eyes. I then dampened a Morphe E14 Brush with a little Mehron Mixing Liquid, before using it to pack some Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eyeshadow in 82 on to my eyelids.

After adding a couple coats of Grande Mascara Lash Boosting Formula, I decided it just wasn’t enough. (Of course… cue eye roll.) at that point I decided to add the top pair of lashes from the Violet Voss Eye Believe in Unicorns Lash Set, attaching them with some Duo Brush On Adhesive with Vitamins.

To complete the look, I used a Smashbox Retractable Lip Brush to apply some Inglot Freedom System Square Lipstick in 79.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! Today I brought you just a little color.

I started out by trying to forget I didn’t sleep enough by patting The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG under my eyes. I also want my lashes to keep growing so I applied Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum to my upper lash liner.

To prep my face for makeup, I patted on NYX Professional Makeup #NoFilter Blurring Primer. I also hydrated my lips with Korres Pomegranate Lip Butter.

I wanted some decent coverage today, so I even out my complexion by taking a Sigma 3DHD Kabuki Brush and buffing on some Frankie Rose Cosmetics Matte Perfection Foundation in Vintage. I also hid my under eye circles some by applying LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Light Yellow Corrector, that I blended out with a dampened Beauty Blender.

To add some definition back into my face, I cream contoured with LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Toast, blending that out with a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I also cream highlighted and concealed by applying some Palladio Under Eyes Disguise Full Coverage Concealer in Vanilla Latte, again using a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend it out.

For a little cheek color, I used my fingers to apply some Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Creme Colour Concentrate in Grandma. I also added some glow to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose by applying some Inika Light Reflect Highlighting Creme.

To set all that cream product, I used a Morphe E9 Brush to pack some Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Buff onto the areas I earlier cream highlighted. After a few minutes, I used a Morphe G5 Brush to sweep away the excess powder.

For the areas I cream contoured, I used both a Morphe R9 Brush and a Smattering Retractable Lip Brush to deepen it a bit with the dark colors from my Frankie Rose Cosmetics Pro Contour Palette.

For just a bit more cheek color, I used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Powder Brush to add some Maybelline Pure Blush in Pure Raisin. I also added a little more glow by using a Morphe M310 Brush to add some Inglot Sparkling Dust for Face, Eyes and Body in 03.

First off, say hi to my son, Aidan! He was having a ball photo bombing me today!

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used an Anastasia Duo Brush 7 and By Nanda Long Lasting Coloring Eyebrow in 05. I then cleaned up the edges with a Bare Minerals Max Coverage Concealer Brush and some Dermablend Professional Cover Creme in Natural Beige.

And now for the eyes! To start, I grabbed a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush, and used it to sweep some NYX Professional Makeup Nude Matte Shadow in Cover into my crease.

Using an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush to prep my eyelids with NYX Professional Makeup Glitter Primer. I then used a Morphe E14 Brush to pack some NYX Professional Makeup Pigment in Vermouth directly on top of that.

After applying a couple coats of L’Oréal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara, I decided it wasn’t enough drama. I added some Violet Voss Premium Lashes in Vamptress, using Duo Eyelash Adhesive to attach them.

To complete the look, I swept some NYX Professional Makeup Intense Butter Gloss in Spice Cake in my lips.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Hailicare Blackhead Remover Pore Vacuum

Hey, guys! My beautiful Momma and her husband got me this Hailicare Blackhead Remover Pore Vacuum for Christmas and I decided to finally share my thoughts on it with you.

The are a few settings. First there’s five different levels of suction. I’d say start out with the lowest setting because they do get pretty strong. I also adjust how strong it is depending on what part of my face it is. My chin for instance, I’m more likely to use a stronger setting.

There are also different colors of lights you can use. The red light is said to increase collagen production and skin elasticity. The green is for skin lightening effects. The blue is said to help with rough patches and oil production. I can’t say I’ve seen a difference in using the lights at all.

The biggest tip I have is to move slow. But also never stop moving or you’ll end up with hickey like marks. Also, keeps in mind you may actually see some breaking out in the days after using this. This is because essentially you’re bringing everything to the surface.

And now for the gross part! Are you ready?!?!?

You can see all of the excess oil and grossness this thing pulled out! Super disgusting, but also satisfying!

Overall, I love this. I only use it once a week, or more often when I feel like my skin needs a good detox.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! A little pink for you today!

I started by waking up my under eye area (because the lack of sleep is real!) with The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I also want my lashes to keep growing so I ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line.

To prep my face for makeup, I patted on The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer. I also hydrated my lips with Pure Paw Paw Ointment in Grape.

To even out my complexion, I used a Morphe M439 Brush to buff on some Jouer Cosmetics Luminizing Moisture Tint in Pearl. I then added some definition in my face by cream contouring with LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Warm Sand. I then dampened a Beauty Blender and blended it all in like crazy.

Taking a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush, I next cream highlighted and concealed using Jouer Cosmetics Perfector in Ivory. I also added some color to my cheeks with Club Clio Peripera Ah! Much Real My Cushion Blusher in Pleased Pink. And because you know I love glow, I added some NYX Professional Makeup Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

Using a Morphe E52 Brush, I set all that cream product by sweeping on some Jouer Cosmetics Mineral Powder in Perle d’Ivoire. I also went over the areas I earlier cream contoured with both a Morphe R41 Brush and a Japonesque Kumadori Blending Brush, giving it even more depth with some Sephora Matte Perfection Powder Foundation in Deep Mocha.

I also decided I wanted a little more cheek color. For that I used a Sigma F40 Brush to sweep on some Jouer Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peony. And of course you know I wanted more glow! I took a Morphe M501 Brush and added some Milani Runway Eyes Eyeshadow in Girls Luv Pink to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used a Morphe E38 Brush and some NYX Professional Makeup Eyebrow Cake Powder in Dark Brown, keeping the tail darker and the inner parts lighter. I then cleaned up any mistakes and the edges with a Morphe M508 Brush and some Jouer Perfector in Naturel.

For my eyes today, I started by using a Morphe E17 Brush to blend some Kleancolor American Eyecon Wet/Dry Baked Shadow in Matte Pink, blending it out further than usual to give it a blown out look.

After damping a Morphe E32 Brush with Mehron Mixing Liquid, I used it to pay some LA Colors Shimmering Loose Eyeshadow in Radiant onto my eyelids.

I added a couple coats of Palladio Double Agent Faux Lash Effect Mascara, and decided it wasn’t quite enough. So I threw on some Red Cherry Eyelashes in 747L, attaching them with some Duo Brush On Adhesive with Vitamins.

To complete the look, I swept some NYX Professional Makeup Matte Lipstick in Sweet Pink on my lips and called it a day.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Time to go through some of the things I’ve used up! I’ll also let you know whether I’d buy again, or leave it on the shelf!

DKNY Be Delicious Skin Hydrating Eau de Toilette Spray: I’m a little confused on how this works. Can’t say I noticed any hydrating effects, but it smells good.

Ardell Wispies: absolutely will buy again. A classic go to.

Exuviance Performance Peel AP25: just okay. I don’t know. Small difference, but not huge. However, I do have to say I didn’t have any reactions or over drying which can happen with this type of peel.

Garnier Skin Active Ultra Clean 3-in-1 with Charcoal: nice. Gentle enough for daily use. I like to try out new skincare constantly, though.

Smack Beauty Brighten Up! Vitamin C Anti-Aging Serum with Hyaluronic Acid: really nice. I love the texture of the serums they make.

Garnier Skin Active Soothing 3-in-1 Moisturizer Day/Night Mask: ehhhhh. Just okay. Nothing special.

5 Second Professional Nail Glue: really great for nail emergencies. And the tip doesn’t ever seem to be glued shut or dried out!

Grande Mascara Lash Boosting Formula: one of my all time favs!

L’Oréal Infallible Pro Matte 24HR Demi Matte Finish Foundation: beautiful. Will definitely be grabbing more.

AOA Studio Lashes in Natalia: super cute! And super cheap! Which is basically an almost impossible combination!

Ole Henriksen Transform Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer: very nice. Hydrating without feeling heavy or greasy.

Benefit Posie Balm: hmmm. Nice formula, but maybe not the color for me.

KISS Professional Acrylic Liquid: as I was learning this on my own, this came in handy, although I have been trying a few different brands, I don’t see much difference in them.

Royal Apothic Cuppa Cuppa Exfoliating Firming Tea Mask: very nice! Really enjoyed this one!

Cinema Secrets Sugar Lip Scrub: the convenience of this is what excited me! Lived up to the hype.

Moroccan Oil Light Treatment: you probably already know I’m a huge fan of this stuff!

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! A little sparky and a little darkness for you today!

I started (duh! Of course!) by waking up my under eye area with The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I also was hoping my lashes would keep growing, and to keep that hope alive, I ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line.

I fought the dreaded oil slick look by patting on some NYX Professional Makeup Shine Killer. I also hydrated my lips with Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion for Lips, since I’d be adding a matte lipstick later, and they can both be drying and look like total crap on dry lips.

Because I’m me, I had some redness today. I applied some LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Green Corrector only to those areas that were red, and blended it out with a dampened Beauty Blender. Then, to even out my skin tone, I used a Japonesque Multitasker Brush to apply some Mally Beauty Ultimate Performance Professional Foundation in Light.

To create (and fake) some definition in my face, I used a Younique Cream Shadow Brush to apply some Jouer Cosmetics Perfector in Chestnut around the edges of my face, under my jawline, under my cheekbones and down the sides of the bridge of my nose. I then used a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend until my arm ached.

Taking some Palladio Under Eyes Disguise Full Coverage Concealer in Vanilla Latte, I cream highlighted the center of my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, and under my eyes. This time I used a Morphe G37 Brush to blend it out.

Using my finger, I added some color to my cheeks with Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint in Very Charming. I also added a bit of glow (because you know I love it!) to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose with NYX Professional Makeup Strobe of Genius Holographic Stick in Mermaid Armor.

To set those cream highlighted areas, I grabbed a Vera Mona Cake and Bake Makeup Sponge, and packed on some RCMA No-Color Powder. After waiting a few minutes, I used a Morphe M500 Brush to sweep away the excess.

On the areas I cream contoured, I used both a Morphe G18 Brush and a Morphe M530 Brush to deepen it even more with Palladio Matte Bronzer in Teeny Bikini.

To add a bit more cheek color, I grabbed a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush, and used it to swirl some Cargo Cosmetics Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos onto my cheeks. I also decided I didn’t have quite enough glow (you know me,what can I say?), so I used my fingertips to add some Unicorn Snot Glitter Gel in Pink to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used an LA Girl Cosmetics 207 Brush and some Inglot AMC Brow Liner Gel in 20. I then sealed that in by combing through some Model in a Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer. Then, I cleaned up the edges with a Morphe M508 Brush and some Dermacol Make-Up Cover Foundation in 209.

And now for the eyes. I started them by using a Morphe E22 Brush to create a base in my crease that would be easy to blend on using NYX Professional Makeup Nude Matte Shadow in Leather and Lace. I then took a Real Techniques Brow Brush and ran some Kiko Cosmetics Infinity High Pigmented Eyeshadow in 212 along my lower lash line. I also added some into my crease, before taking that same Morphe E22 Brush from before and blending it out.

Using a Morphe E32 Brush, I patted some NYX Professional Makeup Glitter Glue onto my eyelids. Directly on top of that, I used a Morphe E14 Brush to pat some Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadow in 86.

After adding a couple coats of Lancôme min Sieur Big Mascara, I decided to add a little flair with a pair of Kara Eyelashes in 523, using Duo Eyelash Adhesive to attach them.

To complete the look, I swept some Violet Voss Liquid Lipstick in Flirt on my lips and called it a day!

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey, everyone! It’s time to go through all the products I’ve used up. I’ll also let you know whether if repurchase, or leave it on the shelf next time.

Wilma Schumann Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads: y’all know I love some good eye pads. So, just for that reason alone, I probably could resist picking up more.

Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil: to be fair, I only tried this in my hair. I think I have a fear of the oil not stinking into my skin and ruining my clothes. It was okay, but nothing I’d be in a rush to get again. I’ve certainly used other hair oils I enjoyed more.

KNC Beauty All Natural Collagen Infused Lip Masks: I don’t know why I even try. I’ve yet to find a lip mask that did anything at all.

Joan Vass L’eau de Opale: smells nice. But I prefer something a little spicier.

Oribe Gold Envy Luminous Face Mask: I love Oribe hair products. This was surprisingly nice, too. I’d probably try it again.

Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Color: this is fantastic! It somehow works on multiple colors of brows! Such a great thing to have in your kit.

L’Oréal Revitalift Moisturizer: I sadly wasn’t at all surprised on how underwhelming this product was.

Pur-lisse Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask and Exfoliant: I liked how gentle I found this particular mud mask. Probably good for those of you with sensitive skin.

Lancôme Mon Sieur Big Mascara: I love love love this mascara. Ultimate drama in a tube.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels: even though I love most eye gels and pads, these are by far my favorite. No question.

Yichen Acrylic Liquid: since I’ve been teaching myself, this little jug has definitely come in handy.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution: Super effective. Just be careful if you’re at all sensitive.

Derma E Hydrating Mist with Hyaluronic Acid: I want to buy this by the gallon! I use it between layers of makeup actually. To prep beforehand, after cream products, and again after powder products. Leaves my skin looking fresh and somehow like I’m wearing less makeup.

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser: nice. But that’s it. Nothing spectacular.

Native Coconut and Vanilla Deodorant: I have tried and tried this whole natural deodorant thing, and maybe it just isn’t for me.

Cartier Baiser Volé Eau de Toilette: I do enjoy this smell. I haven’t yet looked into the price tag, but I definitely will be.

Harvey Prince Yogini: smells nice, but not in a rush to get more. Just okay.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!
