Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Time to go through some of the things I’ve used up! I’ll also let you know whether I’d buy again, or leave it on the shelf!

DKNY Be Delicious Skin Hydrating Eau de Toilette Spray: I’m a little confused on how this works. Can’t say I noticed any hydrating effects, but it smells good.

Ardell Wispies: absolutely will buy again. A classic go to.

Exuviance Performance Peel AP25: just okay. I don’t know. Small difference, but not huge. However, I do have to say I didn’t have any reactions or over drying which can happen with this type of peel.

Garnier Skin Active Ultra Clean 3-in-1 with Charcoal: nice. Gentle enough for daily use. I like to try out new skincare constantly, though.

Smack Beauty Brighten Up! Vitamin C Anti-Aging Serum with Hyaluronic Acid: really nice. I love the texture of the serums they make.

Garnier Skin Active Soothing 3-in-1 Moisturizer Day/Night Mask: ehhhhh. Just okay. Nothing special.

5 Second Professional Nail Glue: really great for nail emergencies. And the tip doesn’t ever seem to be glued shut or dried out!

Grande Mascara Lash Boosting Formula: one of my all time favs!

L’Oréal Infallible Pro Matte 24HR Demi Matte Finish Foundation: beautiful. Will definitely be grabbing more.

AOA Studio Lashes in Natalia: super cute! And super cheap! Which is basically an almost impossible combination!

Ole Henriksen Transform Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer: very nice. Hydrating without feeling heavy or greasy.

Benefit Posie Balm: hmmm. Nice formula, but maybe not the color for me.

KISS Professional Acrylic Liquid: as I was learning this on my own, this came in handy, although I have been trying a few different brands, I don’t see much difference in them.

Royal Apothic Cuppa Cuppa Exfoliating Firming Tea Mask: very nice! Really enjoyed this one!

Cinema Secrets Sugar Lip Scrub: the convenience of this is what excited me! Lived up to the hype.

Moroccan Oil Light Treatment: you probably already know I’m a huge fan of this stuff!

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey, everyone! It’s time to go through all the products I’ve used up. I’ll also let you know whether if repurchase, or leave it on the shelf next time.

Wilma Schumann Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads: y’all know I love some good eye pads. So, just for that reason alone, I probably could resist picking up more.

Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil: to be fair, I only tried this in my hair. I think I have a fear of the oil not stinking into my skin and ruining my clothes. It was okay, but nothing I’d be in a rush to get again. I’ve certainly used other hair oils I enjoyed more.

KNC Beauty All Natural Collagen Infused Lip Masks: I don’t know why I even try. I’ve yet to find a lip mask that did anything at all.

Joan Vass L’eau de Opale: smells nice. But I prefer something a little spicier.

Oribe Gold Envy Luminous Face Mask: I love Oribe hair products. This was surprisingly nice, too. I’d probably try it again.

Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Color: this is fantastic! It somehow works on multiple colors of brows! Such a great thing to have in your kit.

L’Oréal Revitalift Moisturizer: I sadly wasn’t at all surprised on how underwhelming this product was.

Pur-lisse Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask and Exfoliant: I liked how gentle I found this particular mud mask. Probably good for those of you with sensitive skin.

Lancôme Mon Sieur Big Mascara: I love love love this mascara. Ultimate drama in a tube.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels: even though I love most eye gels and pads, these are by far my favorite. No question.

Yichen Acrylic Liquid: since I’ve been teaching myself, this little jug has definitely come in handy.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution: Super effective. Just be careful if you’re at all sensitive.

Derma E Hydrating Mist with Hyaluronic Acid: I want to buy this by the gallon! I use it between layers of makeup actually. To prep beforehand, after cream products, and again after powder products. Leaves my skin looking fresh and somehow like I’m wearing less makeup.

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser: nice. But that’s it. Nothing spectacular.

Native Coconut and Vanilla Deodorant: I have tried and tried this whole natural deodorant thing, and maybe it just isn’t for me.

Cartier Baiser Volé Eau de Toilette: I do enjoy this smell. I haven’t yet looked into the price tag, but I definitely will be.

Harvey Prince Yogini: smells nice, but not in a rush to get more. Just okay.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Time to come see everything I’ve used up and whether I would buy it again or leave it on the shelf!

Phyto Lightweight Hydrating Oil Leave-In: while this may be an okay product, it really just wasn’t enough for my thick hair.

Palladio Under Eyes Disguise Full-Coverage Concealer in Vanilla Latte: this is one of my absolute favorite concealers by far. Great coverage, but doesn’t feel too heavy or crease. It’s fantastic.

Duo Brush-On Adhesive with Vitamins: while this may be a more convenient application, I just can’t believe it’s very sanitary.

Essie Gel Setter Top Coat: I love this stuff. Really holds up.

AOA Studio Perfect Setting Powder: while it works, it has a slightly strange texture I honestly can’t get over.

Butcher Boy 100% Pure Refined Coconut Oil: well, I use this as makeup remover, but any coconut oil would honestly do.

Holika Holika Smooth Egg Skin Peeling Gel: this is the most disgusting and amazing product ever! Instant gratification. I love love love it!

Oribe Matte Waves Texture Lotion: this calms my frizz and creates super cute waves/curls in my thick hair.

Vasanti Eye Wonder 2.0 Super Powered Eye Cream: this is hydrating, but the older I get I’m looking for more in an eye cream.

KISS Professional Clear Acrylic Powder: it’s cheap and it works just fine.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels: these feel amazing! Perfect after not enough sleep or too much wine!

KNC Beauty All Natural Collagen Infused Lip Mask: I really don’t know why I ever pick these up. I don’t think I’ve found any lip mask that actually works. If you know of one, please let me know!

English Laundry Pour Femme: smells so yummy and sweet!

Too Faced Hangover Rx 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer and Setting Spray: while I live for a spray that can be used as both a setting and primer spray, this one wasn’t awesome enough to not continue to try new ones.

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil: this was the perfect oil for my thick hair. Helped control frizz, but didn’t weigh my hair down.

And that’s all for now, y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! It’s time to dig through my beauty trash and let you know if I’d buy the stuff all over again or leave it on the shelf!

Masque Bar Garnet Glitter Peel Off Mask: of only for the Instagram-worthy pics, yes I’d repurchase.

Exuviance Performance Peel AP25: I’m not sure I saw much of a difference after use, maybe a slight one. For that, I’d just leave them on the shelf and try something else.

Glamglow Mud to Foam Youth Cleanse Daily Exfoliating Cleanser: I wanted to love this. I mean it’s glam glow, how could you not? I also did live the green version of this. But this one? Hated it. Too harsh on my skin, and I’m super oily and not at all sensitive usually.

Smack Beauty Save My Skin Firming Collagen Cream: this was nice. Nothing special, though. I’d probably just grab something else to try and leave this one behind.

Joico Heat Set Blowout Perfecting Creme: this is great stuff. The only reason I’d leave it behind now, is I’m really trying not to use heat in my hair much these days.

Twinkle Eyebrow Razor: I used to be obsessed with these. But since I’ve tried the dermaplaner from Stacked Skincare, these would definitely stay on the shelf.

Aztec Secrets Indian Healing Clay: there is nothing else that can even closely compare to this stuff. Of course I’d buy it again!

Ahava Time to Clear Refreshing Cleansing Gel: I lovvvved the way this made my skin feel. Clean, but not at all stripped. A really great option for oily skin.

Cinema Secrets Volcanic Lip Scrub: if this applied from the tube, sure. But I found it wanting to break off, almost like it’s a softened lipstick. So pretty much defeats the purpose.

Deciem The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil: very nice. I’m a huge fan of Deciem anyway, so this one is a no brainer.

AOA Studio Wonder Skin Illuminating Primer: listen. This is awesome. And. I. Only. Paid. One. Dollar. For. It. Definitely getting several more!

Chanel No. 5 Eau de Toilette: I mean, come on. This is what everyone should smell like.

Frankie Rose Cosmetics Blush in Romantica: this is the perfect no blush-blush look for me. A little color without looking like I applied anything.

Pixi Glow Tonic to Go Exfoliating Toner Pad: even after one use, I feel like my skin looked different. I think I’ll continue to purchase.

Masque Bar Pretty Animalz Unicorn Anti-Imperfection Sheet Mask: I meannnnn…. it’s cute for Instagram posts. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Soo’AE V Line Chin Up Mask: I wanted to love this. But I think I preferred the Dr. Jart one, to be honest. Not enough of even a temporary difference with this one.

Equate Night-Time Soothing Makeup Remover Towelettes: y’all know I’m not really a fan of makeup wipes. But sometimes in a pinch or after a long night )or when I’m being lazy tbh,) a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. These work okay got those times.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Time to go through all the stuff I’ve used up.

Ben Nye Pretty Pink Translucent Powder: this is really great as a brightening setting powder.

Floss Gloss Pro Nail Lacquer in Honey: one of my favorite brands of polish and one of my favorite colors!

Farsali Unicorn Essence Skin Enhancing Antioxidant Serum: ehhhhh. Not really worth the money for me.

Philip B Peppermint Avocado Shampoo: the Mint makes it the most refreshing shampoo I’ve ever used and the avocado leave my hair soft and moisturized.

IGK Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel: I’m not a huge gel person, but I used this a few times when I did my braids, and I like that it’s not as crunchy as other gels.

Revlon Precision Dark Lash Adhesive: I am not a huge fan of dark lash adhesive. This one was okay, but I won’t be in any hurry to get more.

LA Colors Color Craze Nail Polish with Hardeners in Sparkling Diamonds: this probably makes me sadder then it should, because it’s glitter!

Klorane Soothing and Anti-Irritating Gel Conditioner with Peony: this is a Conditioner for your scalp. It’s to be used when your scalp it irritated. I like using it after bleaching or coloring my hair.

Bed Head Urban Antidotes Resurrection Shanpoo: I’m not sure this was actually reparative, but it smells wonderful- like green apples!

e.l.f. Cosmetics Single Eyeshadow in Totally Teal: for what I paid for this (a dollar I think) the pigmentation was ah-mazing!

Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Eyeshadow in Brûlée: for the longest this was my go to brow bone highlighter. It was awesome!

Kiss Brush On Gel Nail Kit: while this worked well, the gel itself ran out far faster than the other products.

And that’s all y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Just a small little post about my empties today.

Sebastian Professional Potion 9 Wearable Styling Treatment: this product is kinda cool. It’s has some reparative qualities, and some styling properties! I’m all about dual use!

Model in a Bottle Makeup Setting Spray: I should t have to say it again, but this is my favorite!

Verb Hydrating Shampoo: left my hair nice. Nothing spectacular.

Verb Hydrating Conditioner: again. Nice, nothing spectacular.

LA Splash Cosmetics Lip Couture Waterproof Liquid Lipstick in Till Midnight: beautiful color, but dried out on me.

Jouer Cosmetics Perfector in Creme: I really love this formula. I use it for cream highlighting.

Dr. Jart + Black Label Detox Beauty Balm: nice for when I have a decent skin day.

Jouer Cosmetics Powder Eyeshadow in Praline: the formula on tense is amazing. Super blendable and not at all chalky.

Jouer Cosmetics Powder Eyeshadow in Caramel: again. Ah-mazing!

NYX Professional Makeup Vivid Brights Colored Liquid Liner in Vivid Delight: love the color on this. Do wish it has been slightly more yellow toned orange versus red tones, but very pigmented.

And that’s all y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Time to dig through all my beauty empties!

Sunflower Mega Care Sweet Almond Oil: this is an ingredient in my DIY caffeine eye cream

Smack Beauty Bada Bing Age Erase Eye Cream: this was good at hydrating, and didn’t leave a greasy feeling. However, wasn’t anything to jump up and down about.

Deco Miami Nail Lacquer in Nip Slip: my favorite nude polish ever!!! So sad I’m out. I’ll have to place an order.

Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel: this works wonders! I’m definitely contemplating getting more, despite the higher price point.

Masque Bar Silver Foil Sheer Mask: so pretty, so instagrammable. Left my skin feeling nice.

Masque Bar Pretty Animalz Panda Calming Sheer Mask: also cute, in a kinda of creepy way. Left my skin feeling much calmer after a peel.

Philip B Detangling Toning Mist: if you can deal with the smell of apple cider vinegar, then this stuff is good.

LA Splash Cosmetics Smitten Lip Tint Waterproof Mousse in Raven Claw: such a pretty color. Sad it got dry and clumpy.

Greenbrier Makeup Remover Cleansinf Towelettes: I really am not a fan of wipes, so these are really just used for cleaning up after swatching.

Sacha Juan Dark Volume Hair: if you want Texas pageant hair, this is the stuff for you! It’s awesome!

And that’s all y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Symbols On Beauty Products

Hey guys! Today we are going to decipher what those symbols on beauty products are.

The Mobius Loop: this symbol means that the packaging is recyclable.

The e: this symbol is used on products manufactured in the EU. It basically means the amount of product it says it contains is accurate.

The open lidded jar: this one is super important. Whatever number it has inside is how many months the product will be good for after opening. So that mascara you’ve had rolling around in the bottom of your bag for 2 years… time to toss it.

The green dot: (sometimes not green) means the company will cover costs of recycling the packaging.

The leaping bunny: means the product is animal friendly, and cruelty free.

Hourglass: this is used on products with a shelf life of 30 months or less. It will call attention to a best by or expiration date.

Ecocert: means the product is at least 95% organic.

UVA: contains at least the minimum requirements for UVA protection.

Leaflet: means the will be a leaflet containing more information about the product.

Certified Vegan: means the product contains no animal by products.

Flames: means the product is flammable.

And that’s all y’all! See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Today we’ll be digging through all the products I’ve finished up lately.

Ricky’s NYC Ricky Care Disposable Mascara Wands: just typical ones. Not terrible. Not anything special either.

Acure Mega Moisture Argan Oil and Pumpkin Shampoo: again, okay. Wouldn’t be in a huge hurry to grab more, but not really anything wrong with it.

Estée Lauder Pure Colors Eyeshadow: nice pigmentation. But I have sooooo much stuff already, and new and exciting things are coming out every time I turn around.

Farsali Rose Gold Elixir 24k Gold Infused Beauty Oil: I know people are obsessed with this. But for the price, I’ll keep looking.

The Mane Choice Soft as Can Be 3-in-1 Revitalize and Refresh Conditioner: I used this as both a co-wash and a leave in. I really liked how soft my hair was.

Beauty Blender: yep. So sad. I tore it while cleaning it. It’s okay, though, I always have quite a few in rotation!

Yichen Pink Polymer Powder: I like this stuff. I’ll probably try out some other brands, just to test them out, but this was good.

Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Top Coat: I like this a lot. It gives great shine.

Sally Beauty Supply Sally Girl Sparkle Effects Loose Glitter in Blue Lagoon: so pretty, but I’ve found other brands of glitter I prefer.

Morphe E38 Brush: one of my favorites to do my eyeliner or brows with. The brushes started coming loose. I’m just glad I had some more of the exact brush.

Malibu Glitz Intense Colour Waterproof Eyeliner in Hot Pink: so sad this dried up on me. I feel like it’s a had color to find for an eyeliner.

LA Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Silver Glitter: this also dried up. To be honest though, I don’t feel like I use it much. There a much prettier silver glitter nail polishes out there.

Moroccan Oil Color Continue Shampoo: I really like this. Not enough in the bottle to know if it really did prolong my color, but as usual I’m impressed with Moroccan Oil products.

Frownies Facial Patches for Wrinkles on the Forehead and Between the Eyes: I like these, minus a few things. Sometimes I’d wake up and they wouldn’t even be on my face anymore, they’d be laying in bed next to me. Also, the price. I heard you can use medical tape and get the same effect, but I haven’t tried it. Plus, let’s be honest… they aren’t cute looking if someone is in bed with you!

Klorane Blond-Highlights Shampoo with Chamomile: ehhhhh. I honestly used this to wash my sponges a few times. So I can’t give a true review.

NYX Professional Makeup Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Silk: I’m a huge fan of these. Nice for when you need a little sparkle!

LA Colors Liquid Eyeliner in Brown: a decent eyeliner. Nothing special, nothing wrong with it.

LA Girl Liquid Eyeliner in Black: sane deal here, just different color.

Moroccan Oil Color Continue Conditioner: again, I’m usually a big fan of Moroccan Oil products, and this one didn’t disappoint.

Marc Jacobs Decadence: smells great. I just hate these little samples.

LA Splash Cosmetics Lip Couture Waterproof Liquid Lipstick in Criminal: such a pretty color, but dried out on me.

Yichen White Polymer Powder: I was sooooo mad. I dropped this and spilled it everywhere.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliator: I really like this. I over exfoliate sometimes, so this nice and gentle one was great for me.

And that’s all y’all! What did you guys use up that I need in my life? See you soon!

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Here we go again… time to go through everything I’ve used up since the last time. Let’s jump in!

Japonesque Solid Brush Cleanser Gentle Goat-Milk Cleansing Balm: I really like this. Better for eyeshadow brushes than cream brushes. For those I still felt I needed a deeper clean. Did leave my brushes feeling conditioned.

Bath & Body Works Unicorn Foam Berry Bliss Anti-Bacterial Foaming Mousse Hans Sanitizer: I got this from a friend as a gift. (Because it’s unicorn, of course!) And it was nice. My one disappointment was that the actual foam was just white. I really wanted it to be iridescent or something.

Swan Strengthening Nail Polish Remover: while I typically prefer non acetone removers, this one works okay.

Ricky’s NYC Ricky Care No-Snag Black and Clear Mini Elastics: these are perfect for the ends of braids. Stretch enough to work, and don’t break easily.

Ricky’s NYC Ricky Care No Slip Black Rubber Hair Ties: good and bad. They really don’t slip. But they do tend to grab a little too much to the hair, sometimes getting tangled and caught.

Ricky’s NYC Bobbies: I really like these bobby pins. They don’t slip out, and don’t get bent out of shape easily.

Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray: this is nice and light. Might be just a little too light for my thick hair. Smells nice.

Palladio Felt-Tip Eyeliner Pen in Jet Black: this was amazing. Blacker than hell. A super fine point.

Japonesque Rosewater Scent Makeup Brush Cleanser: perfect for quick cleaning. Maybe not for foundation brushes.

Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo and Wash: I used this to clean brushes also. (Can you tell I’ve been on a brush cleaning frenzy lately?) I figured, gentle enough for baby, gentle enough for makeup brushes.

Dr. Jart+ Black Label Detox Beauty Balm: great for days when I don’t need full coverage. Leaves a very nice, natural finish, with light to medium coverage.

Clio Professional Kill Black Waterproof Brush Liner: again, a really great liner. Very black, and doesn’t run.

Joico K-Pak Split End Mender: great for hiding those dreaded split ends between making it to the salon.

Floss Gloss Pro Nail Lacquer in Lean: soooo sad. I loved this color, but it got dry and clumpy on me. I know I could have picked up some nail polish thinner, but I usually find it’s never the same after.

NYX Professional Makeup Lip Liner in Mauve: do you think I liked this? I basically wore it down to a nub. It’s a great everyday go to color.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner: you know this is a holy grail product for a lot of people. And that title is well deserved. Really does stay all day!

And that’s it for now! See you all soon!
