Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! A simple date night inspired look today!

Because you know me, you probably know I never feel like I got enough sleep. So I started out by tapping The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG under my eyes to wake them up. I also want to keep my lashes nice and healthy, so I ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line.

To prep my face for makeup, I applied NYX Professional Makeup Pore Filler, attempting to start with a nice surface. I also hydrated my lips with Blossom Scented Lip Gloss in Mint.

To hide my under eye circles, I used a Morphe E9 Brush to apply the orange shade from my Ben Nye Media Pro Corrector Wheel trying to cancel out some of the blue. I then grabbed a Japonesque Multitasker Brush and evened out my skin tone down by buffing on Mally Beauty Ultimate Performance Professional Foundation in Light.

To give my face some definition, I cream contoured with LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Toast, using a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend the crap out of it. I then concealed and cream highlighted with Palladio Under Eyes Disguise Full Coverage Concealer in Vanilla Latte, this time again blending it out with another dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

For some cheek color, I used my finger to apply a tiny (I’m not kidding… be careful!) bit of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Creme Colour Concentrate in Grandma. I also added some glow (don’t worry now, more will come later!) to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose with NYX Professional Makeup Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam.

To set all that cream product, I used a Vera Mona Cake and Bake Makeup Sponge to pack some RCMA No-Color Powder on to the areas I earlier cream highlighted. After a few minutes, I used a Morphe M500 Brush to sweep away the excess powder. I also went over the areas I cream contoured with both a Morphe R41 Brush and a Japonesque Kumadori Blending Brush, giving it even more depth with the dark shades from the Frankie Rose Cosmetics Pro Contour Palette.

For a little more cheek color, I used a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush to sweep on some Santee Cosmetics Sun Kissed Mineral Formula Blush in 05. Then I (here it comes…) added even more glow with a Sigma E40 Brush and Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Illuminati.

I started my brows by applying some Model in a Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer to them to get them to stay in place. I then tried (yes you read that right) to fill them in with Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Tint Pen I’m Deep Brown. That was just a complete train wreck. I hate it. Maybe it works better if you have more substantial brows, but it just didn’t work for me. At this point, I almost just said screw it and gave up. Instead, I grabbed an LA Girl Cosmetics 207 Brush, and filled in and shaped them with Malibu Glitz Dramatic Brows Eyebrow Gel in shade 3. Then, using a Younique Cream Shadow Brush, I cleaned up the edges with Dermablend Professional Cover Creme in Natural Beige.

And now for the eyes! Using a Morphe E17 Brush, I swept some NYX Professional Makeup Nude Matte Shadow in Get Naked onto the creases of my eyes. After dampening a Morphe E55 Brush with some Mehron Mixing Liquid, I used it to pack some NYX Professional Makeup Pigment in Old Hollywood.

After a couple coats of Palladio Double Agent Faux Lash Effect Mascara, I wanted just a little more. I decided to add some Kara Eyelashes in 415, using Duo Eyelash Adhesive to attach them. I then finished off the look with some Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Ready to Wear Liquid Lipstick in Stalker.

And that’s all, y’all! See you soon!
