Face of the Day Friday — April 26, 2019

Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! Just a little bit of drama for you today!

I started (as usual!) by waking up my under eye area with The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I also ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line.

To prep my face for makeup, I patted on some NYX Professional Makeup Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer. I also hydrated my lips with Lip Smart Powerful Hydration for Dry Lips.

Because I had a few red areas (anyone else hate hormones???), I used a Real Techniques Essential Foundation Brush to color correct them with LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Green Corrector.

Using a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, I evened out my skin tone with L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation in Natural Buff.

For some definition, I cream highlighted and contoured using NYX Professional Makeup Sculpt and Highlight Face Duo in Taupe/Ivory, blending the crap out of it with a dampened Beauty Blender. For my nose, however, I used a NYX Professional Makeup Micro-Contour Duo Pencil in Light, this time using my finger to blend.

For some cheek color, I dabbed on some Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Creme Colour Concentrate in Grandma. I also added a little glow with Temptu Silicone Based Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer.

To set all that cream product, I used a Vera Mona Cake and Bake Makeup Sponge to powder my face with Jouer Cosmetics Mineral Powder in Perle Naturel.

On the areas I earlier contoured, I used both an e.l.f. Cosmetics Contouring Brush and a Smashbox Retractable Lip Brush to deepen it with Sephora Matte Perfection Powder Foundation in Deep Mocha.

For more cheek color, I used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Powder Brush and some Jouer Cosmetics Powder Blush in Blossom.

I also added more glow (because you know I can’t get enough!) by using my fingers to dab some Fctry Unicorn Snot Glitter Gel for Body and Face in Silver onto my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used a Sigma E65 Brush and some Inglot AMC Brow Liner Gel in 20. I cleaned up the edges a bit with a Morphe M508 Brush and some Dermacol Make-Up Cover Foundation in 209.

Using a Frankie Rose Cosmetics 725 Brush, I swept some Sally Beauty Sally Girl Magic Eyeshadow in Bewitched into my crease.

Using an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush that I dampened with Mehron Mixing Liquid, I patted some Inika Mineral Eyeshadow in Eternal Marine onto my eyelids.

Next I added a wing with Milani Ultra Fine Liquid Eye Liner in Sparkling Turquoise.

After a couple coats of Velvet 59 My Fair Lashes Mascara, I decided to add some drama with Kleancolor Angelic Wink Lashes in 118, securing them with Duo Brush On Adhesive with Vitamins.

To complete the look, I swept on some Bare Minerals Matte Lip Color in VIP.

And that’s all y’all! See you soon!

Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! A simple vampy-lipped look for you today!

I started (as usual!) by waking up my under eye area with The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I also ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line.

To prep my face for makeup, I patted on some NYX Professional Makeup #NoFilter Blurring Primer. I also hydrated my lips with Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper in Barely There.

Because my skin was looking pretty okay today, I decided to go with Jouer Cosmetics Luminizing Moisture Tint in Pearl, blending it in with a Japonesque Multitasker Brush.

For some definition, today I used my NYX Professional Makeup Wonder Stick Highlight and Contour Stick in Universal, using a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend until my arm hurt.

For some glow today, I swept some NYX Professional Makeup Strobe of Genius Holographic Stick in Mermaid Armor along my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

To set all that cream, I used a Morphe E41 Brush to sweep some Ben Nye Pretty Pink Translucent Powder all over.

Onto the areas I cream contoured, I used both a Morphe E56 Brush and a Morphe Y22 Brush to deepen it up a bit with the dark colors from the Frankie Rose Cosmetics Pro Contour Palette.

For some cheek color, I used a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush to add some Jouer Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet.

And of course I wanted more glow! Using a Morphe M501 Brush, I swept on some Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Mermaid Fantasy.

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used a Morphe E38 Brush and some By Nanda Long Lasting Coloring Eyebrow in 05. Using a Younique Cream Shadow Brush, I cleaned up the edges with some Dermablend Professional Cover Creme in Natural Beige.

And now for the eyes! I started by adding Jouer Cosmetics Powder Eyeshadow in Amaretto into my crease with a Morphe E22 Brush.

Using an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush, next I packed some Jouer Cosmetics Creme Eyeshadow in Organza onto my eyelids. Right on top of that, I used a Sigma E55 Brush, I patted some Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eyeshadow in 85.

After adding a coat of Palladio Double Agent Faux Lash Effect Mascara, I decided to throw on Red Cherry Eyelashes in Harley, using some Duo Eyelash Adhesive to attach them.

To finish off the look, I added some LA Splash Cosmetics Smitten Lip Tint Waterproof Mousse in Raven Claw.

Thursday Thoughts: Beauty Trash

Hey guys! Time to dig through all my beauty empties!

Sunflower Mega Care Sweet Almond Oil: this is an ingredient in my DIY caffeine eye cream

Smack Beauty Bada Bing Age Erase Eye Cream: this was good at hydrating, and didn’t leave a greasy feeling. However, wasn’t anything to jump up and down about.

Deco Miami Nail Lacquer in Nip Slip: my favorite nude polish ever!!! So sad I’m out. I’ll have to place an order.

Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel: this works wonders! I’m definitely contemplating getting more, despite the higher price point.

Masque Bar Silver Foil Sheer Mask: so pretty, so instagrammable. Left my skin feeling nice.

Masque Bar Pretty Animalz Panda Calming Sheer Mask: also cute, in a kinda of creepy way. Left my skin feeling much calmer after a peel.

Philip B Detangling Toning Mist: if you can deal with the smell of apple cider vinegar, then this stuff is good.

LA Splash Cosmetics Smitten Lip Tint Waterproof Mousse in Raven Claw: such a pretty color. Sad it got dry and clumpy.

Greenbrier Makeup Remover Cleansinf Towelettes: I really am not a fan of wipes, so these are really just used for cleaning up after swatching.

Sacha Juan Dark Volume Hair: if you want Texas pageant hair, this is the stuff for you! It’s awesome!

And that’s all y’all! See you soon!

Face of the Day Friday

Hey guys! Playing with two of my favorite things today: pink and glitter!!!

I started (as usual!) by waking up my under eye area with The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I also ran some Smack Beauty Bat Those Lashes Volumizing Lash Serum along my upper lash line to keep them nice and healthy (and hopefully long!)

To prep my face for makeup and fight a little redness I had going on today, I patted on some e.l.f. Cosmetics Tone Adjusting Face Primer in Neutralizing Green. I also hydrated my lips with some Pure Paw Paw Ointment in Grape.

Using a Morphe M439 Brush, I buffed on Mally Beauty Ultimate Performance Professional Foundation in Light to even out my skin tone.

Using a Morphe R9 Brush, I gave my face some definition by cream contouring with LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Toast.

To correct my awful dark circles (I need more sleep!), I used a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush to blend in some LA Girl Cosmetics Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Yellow Corrector.

To balance out the cream contouring, I used some Palladio Under Eyes Disguise Full Coverage Concealer in Vanilla Latte to cream highlight, blending it out with a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

For a healthy cheek flush, I applied some Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint in Very Charming, letting the heat of my fingers blend it in.

For some glow (which you know I love!), I dabbed The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew Highlighting Cream on to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

To set all that cream product, I grabbed a Morphe E52 Brush and swept some RCMA No-Color Powder all over.

On the areas I earlier contoured, I used both a Japonesque Kumadori Blending Brush and a Morphe G18 Brush deepen the definition with Palladio Matte Bronzer in Teeny Bikini.

For more cheek color, I used a Sigma F40 Brush to sweep on some Jouer Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peony.

And of course I needed more glow! I used my fingers to dab on some Fctry Unicorn Snot Glitter Gel for Body and Face in Purple onto my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

To fill in and shape my brows today, I used a LA Girl Cosmetics 207 Brush and some NYX Professional Makeup Eyebrow Cake Powder in Dark Brown. Using a Morphe M508 Brush, I cleaned up the edges a bit with Jouer Cosmetics Perfector in Naturel.

Now for the fun part! Using a Morphe E17 Brush, I started by adding some Kleancolor American Eyecon Wet/Dry Baked Eyeshadow in Matte Fuchsia into my crease. I’m so in love with this color guys!

Next, I dampened a Morphe E32 Brush with some Mehron Mixing Liquid, and used it to pack some Glamour Doll Eyes Pigment in Swollen Tears onto my eyelids.

Time for glitter!!! Using a Sigma E30 Brush, I ran some NYX Professional Makeup Glitter Primer among my lower lash line. I followed that up by using a Morphe E14 Brush to pat on some NYX Professional Makeup Face and Body Glitter in Rose.

After applying a couple coats of Lancôme Mon Sieur Big Mascara, I added some Kara Eyelashes in 747L, using Duo Brush On Adhesive with Vitamins to attach them.

After lining and filling in my lips with Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner, I finished off the look with LA Girl Cosmetics Glazed Lip Paint in Whimsical.

And that’s all y’all! See you guys soon!

Thursday Thoughts: How to Cover Tattoos — April 11, 2019

Thursday Thoughts: How to Cover Tattoos

Hey guys! Today I’ll be showing you how to cover a tattoo. You never know when you’ll need this; a photoshoot, a wedding, maybe just to hide from someone… Hope this helps!

Start by gathering your materials. Here’s what I used for today:

  • Mini Beauty Blender
  • Ben Nye Media Pro Corrector Wheel
  • Younique Cream Shadow Brush
  • Dermablend Professional Cover Creme
  • Morphe R39 Brush
  • Jouer Cosmetics Mineral Powder in Perle D’Ivoire
  • Model in a Bottle Makeup Setting Spray

Here’s my tattoo on my inner wrist.

Here I’ve used a Mini Beauty Blender to dab on a combination of the flesh and orange tones from my Ben Nye Corrector Wheel. If your tattoo is colored, you’ll need to use correctors opposite the color wheel from whatever color they are.

I then used a Younique Cream Shadow Brush to add some Dermablend Professional Cover Creme. Here you’ll need to choose a color closest to your skin color. This is Natural Beige. In real life, I’d need to use something lighter, as my wrist is obviously much lighter than my face.

Using a Morphe R39 Brush, I dusted on some Jouer Cosmetics Mineral Powder in Perle d’Ivoire.

Another coat of the corrector.

More of the Dermablend.

And set it again with powder.

At this point you may need more layers. Or you may have even gotten away with only one. I prefer to do multiple thin layers, as opposed to thick ones.

And then I just set it with Model in a Bottle Makeup Setting Spray.

And that’s all y’all! See you soon!
